May 17- biking to Anna Maria Island

Another warm day. Today Lu is off to Doggy Daycare so that we can play at the beach. Found a great place at a small home-based Kennel. 

Went for about a 25 km bike ride from Bradenton Beach to Anna Maria. Not much traffic, great ride and some beach time! 

 This is really the colours...no filters...nothing altered...breathtakingly beautiful 💓

This area was pretty quiet which was so nice!


Rode around looking at all the homes..so many vacation rentals and we just love the colours...

This place had the most amazing yard...it was sooooo cool under the tree canopy...there were hammocks and swingchairs and so many "cool" places to enjoy...
We are pretty good at finding a great place to enjoy drinks and food on the beach!

Rode back to where the truck was and checked out Bradenton Beach
Just might have found another place at the water to have a few Coronas and some great Seafood!

Left South Dakota this morning, through a part of Wyoming and into Montana. The scenery in this area is really gorgeous.  But before long the weather changed...storms up ahead and apparently through the night in Bozeman. Free night at the Walmart with about another 30  or so RV/camper vans......hoping for a quiet night...cold here tonight....used the furnace for the first time in a very long time on this trip...brrrr

Long time coming....

 It's been a very very long 2 years waiting...patiently waiting.....for things to return to normal... We were set to embark on this same holiday in March 2020 when Covid changed everything for everyone. Now 2 years later, our travel furbaby has changed. We lost our beloved Gracie before we could enjoy another big trip with her.  She was an amazing traveller and we were so fortunate to have been able to make many memories with her over the 14 years of RV adventures! We loved every minute of it and miss her dearly. And then along came Lucy Lu. Oh the adventures she will have!

June 10 - Lazy day

Today was a lazy day. As no cell service and wifi at the campground, I needed some down time to book some stuff. Found a great dog park and Lu made a new little friend... Like little....8 week old little pitti.... They had a great time and then back into town. Just like most towns outside of a National Park...there's a bear thing going on. We didn't stay long....little walking...late lunch and back to the trailer. George hitting the enormous candy store....$22.00 later.....omg Second night of firefly watching was even better than the first. We saw some Blue Ghost fireflies....the males stay lit for up to a minute and glow a soft blue colour...there are not many in this area as they are mostly in the Asheville forests so I was super excited to see them.
