May 19 - On the water

Seeing as we were so happy with Lu's Doggy Daycare, we decided to let her play with her friends one more day and get out on the water.

Out on a 2 hour Catamaran tour in the Sarasota area. Only 6 of us so very relaxed. Weather was great!




It's kinda fun to see the water side of some of these amazing homes! Captain John told us whose houses these were....but to be honest....all that info just blends together 😄



Except this one...speculation is it was recently built for the Kardashians....he said they were hoping not as Sarasota just does not need those type of people... they just bring drama with them ...It is hard to tell here how big it is...
But it dwarfs the other mansions on the water. The neighbours' homes  look like garden sheds next to this one!

This is a sandbar that you can hang out on  and they have a floating bar. We had to pass as our boat could not pull up there.

Almost 2 hours out and no dolphins....until I spotted them....I think I have some sort of "dolphin radar"....

Left South Dakota this morning, through a part of Wyoming and into Montana. The scenery in this area is really gorgeous.  But before long the weather changed...storms up ahead and apparently through the night in Bozeman. Free night at the Walmart with about another 30  or so RV/camper vans......hoping for a quiet night...cold here tonight....used the furnace for the first time in a very long time on this trip...brrrr

Long time coming....

 It's been a very very long 2 years waiting...patiently waiting.....for things to return to normal... We were set to embark on this same holiday in March 2020 when Covid changed everything for everyone. Now 2 years later, our travel furbaby has changed. We lost our beloved Gracie before we could enjoy another big trip with her.  She was an amazing traveller and we were so fortunate to have been able to make many memories with her over the 14 years of RV adventures! We loved every minute of it and miss her dearly. And then along came Lucy Lu. Oh the adventures she will have!

June 10 - Lazy day

Today was a lazy day. As no cell service and wifi at the campground, I needed some down time to book some stuff. Found a great dog park and Lu made a new little friend... Like little....8 week old little pitti.... They had a great time and then back into town. Just like most towns outside of a National Park...there's a bear thing going on. We didn't stay long....little walking...late lunch and back to the trailer. George hitting the enormous candy store....$22.00 later.....omg Second night of firefly watching was even better than the first. We saw some Blue Ghost fireflies....the males stay lit for up to a minute and glow a soft blue colour...there are not many in this area as they are mostly in the Asheville forests so I was super excited to see them.
